- Pet Line offers a telephone hotline you can call when you have found a lost pet. When you call Pet Line at (631) 696-5172, a volunteer will take the description of the animal you found.
- With the assistance of a special computer search program, Pet Line will try to find a match within the "Lost Pet" reports and Pet Line registered pet file. If Pet Line finds a match, a volunteer will immediately contact the owner of the pet and put them in touch with you.
- If none of the pets in the Pet Line database match the description of the pet you found, Pet Line will continue to assist you by providing information and suggestions you will need.
- Pet Line regularly promotes and advertises its service throughout the five boroughs of New York City and Long Island, urging pet owners who lose a pet to call (631) 696-5172.
There is no charge to list a pet that is found!
HOW YOU CAN REPORT A FOUND PET
Simply complete the found pet report below and Pet Line will search its "Lost Pet" database for a pet description that matches the animal you found. We do not send out "found" pet information only "lost". If Pet line finds a match, we will arrange to have the owner of the pet promptly contact you.
